The Thoroughbreds and most Warmblood breeds as well as other Breed Registry’s trace the lineage on their horses using the male, Stallion line. The Purebred Arabian breed has several “mare” families with the most familiar being Dahman, Kuhaylan, Abeyyan, Saqlawi, and Hadban.
